What type of pole do I need?
We recommend using 1 ½” Threaded rigid metal conduit. The Electrical conduit couplings are much thinner than plumbing couplings and our Modular hook head is designed to slide over the coupling.
Where can I buy the pole?
You can purchase the 1 ½” Threaded rigid metal conduit at any electrical supply house, hardware store or big box home repair store. The model numbers for the correct item are Home Depot model # 0544210000 Lowes Model # 73207
Can I make the tree less than 20 feet tall?
Yes you can make it any height less than 20 feet you wish Just cut the conduit for the center pole to the desired length and put the cut end at the bottom of the pole.
Can I make the tree more than 20 feet tall?
We do no recommend going taller than 20 feet. The guy wires supplied with the kit are cut to be used for a 20 foot tree maximum also the kit has been engineered to go only to 20 feet.
Do I need to purchase the optional guy wire kit?
The mega tree kit comes with guy wires long enough to go to the top of a 20 foot pole. In some areas where winds can become very high you may want to buy the optional guy wire kit so that you can put a second set of guy wires going to the center of the pole for added stability.
Can I use a smaller pole for the center pole?
We recommend using only a 1 ½” Threaded metal conduit for the center pole because all of the parts are designed to be used with the 1 ½” Threaded metal conduit and also the kit was designed and engineered for 1 ½” Threaded metal conduit pole.
What type of lights do I need?
The kit is designed to be used with just about any type of lights, C9 stringers, C7 stringers, M5 Stringers, mini lights, RGB stringers, Plastic strips that hold Different RGB lights
How many lights do I need?
That is completely up to you. You can put as many or as few as you wish. Some customers prefer a full looking tree and some customers prefer less lights on the tree.
